This 11" x 11" chess set fits nicely on a bookshelf when folded. The Battle of GETTYSBURG campaign is depicted on the playing surface and a brief history of the battle is included on the interior of the box which is decorated in red white and blue. I am a chessplayer, a Civil War boardgamer, and I really, really LOVE this set!!! Check out my other Civil War and Ancient Campaign chess-sets on this website.
The blue and grey wooden pieces are stored in bags and placed inside when the board is folded for storage. It all stores easily!
